Of course I finished it--it's one of my favorite books. Jeff you should check it out (A Void by George Perec) whenever you're next in the vicinity of an English language library or bookstore. Don't mean to be a tease...
Jeff is a total bookslut. Every time we go to a major city he's buying books and more books. Our bookshelf is looking pretty nice now! Too bad Andrew brought a tiny suitcase with him, we were hoping he'd schlepp some books home for us.
But Jeff is reading this Paul Auster book called The New York Trilogy now -- it's about a "feral" child (locked up all his life -- just like in the documentary!) And it takes place in NYC and has lots of references to places there... sounds right up your alley Julia!!!
I've been wanting to read that, though I never knew any details about what it's about--if I knew a feral child was involved I woulda been on it ages ago!!
